Guwahati (Assam) [India], June 30 (ANI): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday chaired a meeting with the Chief Secretary and Assam DGP in Guwahati and discussed issues related to Village Defence Party (VDP).

The Assam Chief Minister discussed in length the proper functioning of the Thana Committees to benefit the common people.
On the other hand, the Chief Minister chaired a meeting on Sunday to discuss proposals for removing budgetary ceilings on key infrastructure projects of the Assam Government, aiming to prevent delays and ensure timely completion.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to expand the list of projects eligible for ceiling-free status to maximize the number of PWD (B) infrastructure projects that can become operational within the specified time frame.
