New Delhi [India], July 1 (ANI): Coming in support of the Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi over his speech in the Lok Sabha today, Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi said that the BJP is rattled after Rahul’s speech and is resorting to lies and falsehood.
“The BJP is rattled after Rahul Gandhi’s speech. Today they are resorting to lies, they are resorting to falsehood. Today I heard the voice of truth. The truth, which is the real truth of India inside the House. I heard the truth of those children who are helpless today, be it Agniveer, unemployment or NEET exam. I heard the truth of those people who wanted some concrete steps from Prime Minister Modi in Manipur, Jammu but they only got to see violence. I heard the truth of our Indian tradition, our Sanatan Dharma. So I would like to thank Rahul Gandhi ji that today through his speech he raised the voice of the country and broke the ego of one person,” Gogoi told ANI.
Further, Gogoi pointed out that today the Home Minister was seeking protection from the Speaker after Rahul Gandhi’s speech.
“I spent 10 years in the opposition, where the ruling party was blatantly violating the decorum of Parliament one after the other. Today I saw such a scene where the Home Minister was seeking protection from Rahul Gandhi’s speech through the Speaker. I would like to thank the people of India that they broke their (BJP) ego today,” the Congress MP said.
Congress leader Pawan Khera launched a scathing attack on the BJP and claimed that the party ran its business for the last 10 years by spreading lies on WhatsApp, editing the videos of Rahul Gandhi and making baseless comments about him.
Earlier in the day during the motion of thanks of the President’s address, Rahul Gandhi targeted the BJP-led government and alleged there has been “a systematic attack” on the idea of India.
“There has been a systematic and full-scale assault on the idea of India, the Constitution and on the people who resisted the attack on the Constitution. Many of us were personally attacked. Some of the leaders are still in jail. Anyone who resisted the idea of concentration of power and wealth, aggression on poor and Dalits and minorities was crushed…I was attacked by the order of the Government of India, by the order of the Prime Minister of India…The most enjoyable part of it was the 55 hours of interrogation by ED…,” he alleged.
He also called the Hindu symbol ‘Abhayamudra’ which gestures fearlessness, reassurance and safety, as the symbol of the Congress party.”
“Abhayamudra is the symbol of Congress…The Abhayamudra is the gesture of fearlessness, is the gesture of reassurance and safety, which dispels fear and accords divine protection and bliss in Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism and other Indian religions…All our great men have spoken about non-violence and finishing fear…But, those who call themselves Hindu only talk about violence, hatred, untruth…Aap Hindu ho hi nahi,” the Congress leader said.
BJP members took strong objection to Rahul Gandhi’s remark and accused Rahul of insulting Hindu religion by connecting it with violence. (ANI)
