Among the key agreements, a friendship pact was established between Gujarat and Shizuoka Prefecture, and another agreement on mutual cooperation was exchanged between the cities of Ahmedabad and Hamamatsu.

The signing ceremony took place at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, with both sides expressing optimism about the future of these partnerships.
Gujarat Chief Minister emphasized the importance of these agreements in fostering stronger bilateral ties, stating, “Today’s agreements are a significant milestone in the enduring relationship between Gujarat and Japan.”
Taking to his official handle on X, CM Bhupendra Patel said, “A Great Day for Gujarat-Japan Relations! Delighted to welcome HE Suzuki Yasutomo, Governor of Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan and the delegation accompanied him, in Gujarat.”
