Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], July 1 (ANI): The Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office has been accredited with ISO 9001:2015, only CMO to receive quality certifications for 5 consecutive three-year terms from 2009 to 2023.
Notably, the Chief Minister’s office of Gujarat received its first ISO certificates under then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in 2009 and has been receiving ISO certificates since then.
“The Chief Minister’s Office of Gujarat has achieved a unique distinction as the sole state in the country to receive ISO certification for five consecutive three-year terms from 2009 to 2023,” as per the Gujarat CMO’s office.

“The Gujarat Chief Minister’s Office has been accredited with ISO 9001:2015 certification. The ISO 9001:2015 certification awarded to the Chief Minister’s Office proves its adherence to global benchmarks for quality, punctuality, and people-centric operational efficiency,” as per a press release from the Gujarat CMO’s office.
As Gujarat’s Chief Minister in 2009, Narendra Modi elevated the Chief Minister’s Office to ISO benchmark quality, aiming to revolutionise the state’s administrative culture with a focus on quality and performance.
“Chief Minister’s Office, the pinnacle of state governance, first earned ISO 9001:2015 certification in 2009 for its disciplined work planning and continuous enhancements in public service delivery,” as per the release.
Gujarat’s administrative system has consistently upheld the benchmark set by Narendra Modi in Good Governance. The Chief Minister’s Office of Gujarat has achieved a unique distinction as the sole state in the country to receive ISO certification for five consecutive three-year terms from 2009 to 2023.
“Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has successfully continued the tradition of the ‘SWAGAT’ programs and ISO audits,” the release stated.
Building on this achievement, the Chief Minister’s Office has received the ISO 9001:2015 certification for the sixth consecutive term, spanning from 2024 to 2026.
“Bhavin Vora, Director of Technocrat Consultants, along with officials from the Certifying Agency Bureau Veritas, presented the ISO certification to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel,” as per the release.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conveyed his belief that the ISO 9001:2015 certification will uphold the Chief Minister’s Office’s commitment to meeting public expectations through efficiency, capacity, effectiveness, and punctuality.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel applauded the CMO team for earning the ISO 9001:2015 certification, crediting it to the Prime Minister’s vision for state administration and continuous dedication towards providing excellent public service. (ANI)
