New Delhi [India], July 6 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita Kejriwal on Saturday released a video statement, where she targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that the PM through ED and CBI is trying to destroy Arvind Kejriwal and AAP.
In a video posted by the Aam Aadmi Party on its official X handle, Sunita Kejriwal said, “Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on the statement of an NDA MP Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy (MSR). He is an NDA MP from Andhra Pradesh.”
Sunita claimed that Delhi CM has been made the victim of a deep political conspiracy. “He is a moderately educated patriot and staunchly honest person. Is Modi doing right with Kejriwal? Share this video as much as possible so that the whole country can know how Modi is destroying Kejriwal and AAP as part of a deep political conspiracy through ED-CBI,” she said.
Sunita Kejriwal further said that on 17 September 2022, ED raided MSR’s premises. “When he was asked whether he had ever met Arvind Kejriwal, he informed that he had met Arvind Kejriwal on 16 March 2021 at Delhi Secretariat as he wanted to open a family charitable trust in Delhi and met the CM of Delhi regarding the land. Kejriwal had said that the land is with LG. You can apply,” Sunita Kejriwal said.
Sunita further claimed that the ED did not like MSR’s answer, and hence arrested MSR’s son Magunta Raghava Reddy after a few days.
She claimed that the statements of MSR were taken again but he kept repeating his earlier statement as it was the truth and the bail of his son Raghava Reddy kept getting rejected.
“During this time, due to shock, Raghav’s wife tried to commit suicide…” Sunita said.
Sunita added further, “On 17 July 2023, MSR changed his statement. He said that on March 16, 2021, he had gone to meet Kejriwal and barely met him for four to five minutes and 10-12 people were sitting there.”
“MSR said that as soon as he entered the room, Kejriwal said that start the liquor business and in return, give Rs 100 crore to AAP. This was the first and last meeting with Kejriwal,” Sunita said.
Arvind Kejriwal’s wife further claimed that even if someone had to ask for money from someone, would he ask for money like this in front of 10 to 12 people in the very first meeting with a stranger?
“Apparently, MSR’s son and family were badly tortured for five months, so he gave a false statement to save his son and within two days after giving this statement, MSR’s son got bail,” Sunita said.
She added, “One thing became clear from all these statements that MSR gave a false statement to get his son out of jail.”
Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) clarified on Saturday that the investigation into the roles of all other accused has been completed and only the role of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is being investigated concerning the excise policy case.
CBI counsel Advocate DP Singh further added that we will brief the Supreme Court about some new developments that took place after June 4, which led us to arrest Arvind Kejriwal.
The CBI stated that only the role and investigation of Kejriwal have been further investigated, and the probe against the rest of the accused is almost complete. It further clarified that the statement made by the Solicitor General before was related to all the arrested accused in the case except Kejriwal. (ANI)
