Karauli (Rajasthan) [India], July 1 (ANI): Atleast nine people including women and children were killed after a car and a truck collided near Karauli’s Mandrayal Marg area, police said on Monday.
According to Superintendent of Police (SP), Karauli, Brajesh Jyoti Upadhyay, “The incident took place near Karauli Mandrayal Marg Dunda Pura turn. The dead include six women, two children and one man.”
The official informed that shortly after receiving information about the incident, Collector Neelabh Saxena, SP Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay reached the site.
The bodies of the deceased were thereafter taken to the mortuary of Karauli Hospital.
The officials took information about relief work and gave necessary instructions to the officers present on the spot.
An investigation into the matter is underway.
